Our guidance counselor comes into the room about once or twice a month to work with our students on controlling their behavior and emotions. Today she talked about taking time to notice what is really going on around you and thinking about it before acting. She gave the students riddles to try and solve.
One of them was this:
You and another person are in jail. You are in a cell that has no windows and only one door that locks from the outside. How do you get out in under one minute?
One of my all students shouted at the top of her lungs, BLOW THE PLACE UP!
My class rocks but I am also a little afraid of them….
